Results compared the PlayerPro 8K:

The image is cleaner and more stable. There is less noise in the blacks which gives a 3D effect with better respect for the colorimetry especially in the dark parts of the image. The grain of the film seems less artificial and the image has less motion blur. The image is also more defined, including when using AI-PQ and AI-SR image processing.

Wide Range IR Sensor.
The PlayerPro 8K Signature Edition includes a highly sensitive infrared sensor that captures signals over a broad angle and long range (60° / 26 ft). The remote control itself is outfitted with high-efficiency IR diodes. Moreover, the PlayerPro 8K includes an IR extender, enabling you to conveniently position the device behind closed doors or in a separate room while maintaining control from your TV's location. The IR extender features an adhesive backing for straightforward mounting on any flat surface.

This powerhouse processor is comprised of four ARM A55 cores running at 2.0 GHz and a superior ARM A76 core at 1.9 GHz, alongside an extra core dedicated to system operations. This configuration yields a performance that is double that of the Realtek RTD1619DR chipset found in the PlayerOne. The graphics unit has been upgraded to the Mali G57, and when combined with the lightning-fast LPDDR4X memory and eMMC storage, it ensures a swift and smooth system performance. Full 8K 60p HDR video support – UHD 8K resolution offers 4 times as many pixels than 4K and 8 times than Full HD 1080p. 8K format offers the most impressive viewing experience and delivers a smooth and sharp picture. The PlayerPro 8K supports both 8K 60p HDR video decoding from video files or streaming content with 8Kp60 HDR video output for the best possible visual experience. SmartTube 8K HDR – Some 8K YouTube streams are encoded in AV1 codec with a much higher bitrate (around 2x) than when playing 4K streams (50 Mbps in AV1 quality corresponds to an even higher bitrate of VP9 or HEVC) . This significantly improves picture quality compared to older media players that can only play 4K VP9/HEVC, included for users using 1080p or 4K displays.

A TCXO (Temperature-Compensated Crystal Oscillator) clock in a multimedia player significantly enhances home cinema experiences by providing exceptional timing accuracy, ensuring audio and video remain perfectly synchronized. Compared to standard clocks, a TCXO reduces jitter and maintains consistent performance across varying temperatures, resulting in a superior audio-visual quality that's crucial for an immersive viewing experience, especially in high-end home theaters. Unlike oscillators used by other brands, the R_volution TCXO uses a 24MHz clock rate, a perfect multiple of 48kHz in audio and 24Hz in video. Linear Power Supply with a Robust Toroidal Transformer.
The R_volution PlayerPro 8K Signature Edition media player features a high-performance power supply equipped with a Toshiba linear voltage regulator and powered by a massive 81W oxygen-free copper toroidal transformer, ensuring a noise-free signal for enhanced image quality, more accurate color grading, deeper blacks, and superior audio and visual precision. The PlayerPro 8K also uses a low dropout (LDO) linear voltage regulator from Lintec. The power inlet has been replaced with the high end Furutech FI-03 Rhodium model.
Best of the Best
Compared to the standard PlayerPro 8K model, the Signature Edition features upgraded capacitors on both the linear PCB and the mainboard. These larger and higher-quality capacitors further enhance the already exceptional picture and sound quality of the standard PlayerPro 8K model. The PlayerPro 8K Signature Edition offers a wider audio space, similar to the PlayerOne 8K Signature. The sound is more fluid and natural. Additionally, the PlayerPro 8K Signature provides finer and broader dynamics with much more structure and audio resolution. At the same time, the listening experience is much more relaxed compared to the standard PlayerPro 8K model.
The picture quality is ultra-smooth and sharp, crystal clear with vibrant colors, slightly better than the PlayerOne 8K Signature Edition.
Overall, the PlayerPro 8K Signature Edition surpasses the PlayerOne 8K Signature Edition and is significantly better than the standard PlayerPro 8K model.

Cinema films are traditionally shot at 24 frames per second (fps), yet most videos or Blu-ray files are encoded at 23.976fps. Modern multimedia players often output video signals at 24,000Hz, leading to stuttering issues, especially noticeable with projectors. R_volution Real Cinema technology preserves the file's original frame rate, be it 23.976fps or 24,000fps, up to the final display. This ensures cinematic smoothness and maintains the artistic integrity of the visual content. Additionally, the autoframerate feature enables the player to adapt its output frequency to match the file's frame rate, automatically selecting from 23.976Hz, 24Hz, 29.97Hz, 30Hz, 50Hz, or 59.94Hz (60Hz), thus accommodating various file types seamlessly.
Dolby Multistream Decoder MS12
Equipped with the Dolby Multistream Decoder MS12, the R_volution PlayerPro Signature Edition adeptly decodes premier audio formats such as Dolby Digital Plus™, Dolby Digital®, HE AAC, all AAC bitstreams, and Dolby AC-4. It offers comprehensive Dolby metadata support across Dolby AC-4, Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby Digital, and HE AAC v2 formats. The Dolby MS12 can produce standard Dolby Audio™ bitstreams or LPCM streams up to 7.1 channels from any audio input.
